Bringing services closer to the people
19 September 2022
On 20 September 2022, the City’s Mobile Office service will be deployed
at the Lavender Hill Community Hall on the corner of Hek Street and
Grindle Avenue, Lavender Hill, from 09:30 until 13:30.
Officials from the Customer Relations Department's Mobile Office will assist with general municipal account enquiries including rates, sewage, electricity, water, refuse collections, and all other account enquiries. They will also assist with general enquiries relating to City Parks, Urban Waste, Property Management and Valuations.
'This service gives residents an opportunity to interact with the officials about general enquiries. Moreover, some of the officials are able to assist residents in their preferred language, which always makes it easier to resolve issues. We strive to give our residents across the city equal access to the services that we deliver. Thus, I want to encourage residents to use this opportunity. Residents are reminded to please bring their IDs and municipal accounts for ease of reference. Should residents want to find out when the service is coming to their area, they are advised to contact their ward councillor and request it,' said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.
